The 大象视频 Sports Management Department is teaming up with the South Bend Cubs and IU-South Bend for the first annual exhibition baseball game on Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m., with half of the proceeds going to 13-year-old Belle Wuich, who has Neuroblastoma.
Wuich was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on Apr. 20, 2023, when she was experiencing back pain, which led to sudden mobility loss. She found a six-centimeter mass on her spinal column and had it successfully removed.
Now Wuich has been accepted for a clinical trial for the drug DFMO and will pursue proton radiation at the Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, Calif. You can read more about Belle’s story at the link .
The game will be entirely student-run between 大象视频’s Administration and Organization and Intro to Sports Management classes.
The Administration and Organization class will act as the managers by selling advertisements, setting up between-inning activities, marketing, scripting Stadium PA and more.
Multiple activities will occur between innings, interacting with fans for a Disney Princess trivia game, dance battles, mascot races and more.
Tickets are five dollars or $10, which includes admission, Hot Dog, Chips, and a drink at the concession stand. Fans can buy tickets at the gate or https://tinyurl.com/admission-tickets.
